How the Sefirot Chochmah and Binah Correlate With the Right and Left Half of the Brain

Science says that every hour (maybe all 50 minutes or so) the activity of our brain halves changes. Once a time the right half is dominant, then the left half. The right brain half corresponds to creativity and intuition. The left half to logic and analysis. Most people completely ignore those natural processes and timings. Let's see how these correspond with the Sefirot of Kabbalah.

The Zohar regularly opens up with 'Come and see', which means he is written in a visual language, which corresponds with the sphere of Chochmah, contrary to 'Come and hear' like in the Talmud. Seeing is Chomchah, hearing is Binah. Through the Zohar we connect to the Sphere of our dreams, imagination and fantasies, while through the Talmud we connect to Binah, which is understanding, intelligence, logic, and analysis. Chochmah and Binah should always go hand in hand. When we have visions we must place them into the correct context of the Torah. We could have also false visions coming from the other side, so we must scrutinize everything we attain intuitively with the mind, trained in Torah. Our mind should become as sharp as possible to attain spiritual worlds. But understanding is only one side of the coin, the other is how to receive the light of ChochmahChochmah is vision, through Binah we can set it then into the proper context through verbal thinking.

In our world it is very similar. One shouldn't sit the whole day before books or follow mental activities. We also must train the other side of our brain. People often wonder how I can have so much knowledge but play then very mundane computer games and the answer is because they help me in the attainment of the spiritual. One must always find the balance between mental effort of study and to relax and enjoy. When we can't enjoy the most mundane things in life, for what is then all the study for?

Behind everything in our world lies the Ein Sof. This means even in physical pleasures it's about in what intensity and what consciousness we perceive them. A truly righteous enjoys a billion times more in eating, sex, in watching films, or listening to music. Because Kabbalists were no dualists. That's what differentiates Kabbalah from Gnosticism. This physical world is the most holy one, because only through it, we can attain God.
